(D4 LN, The Sickbay???) VENGEANCE - Phoebe

[Nekoinu]

"You're angry," the Nikto replied, "That's all that matters." He walked up to the miralian and washed his hand over her face, the form then turning to dust. "Just like her, though hers is more... loss."

After his last word, the scene shifted over to another scene. Orius, her father, stood there before two Imperial Super Commandos. In his hands was the helmet of his wife, visor crack with stained blood. They motioned for him to follow, and so could Phoebe...

The other Nikto, not the hunter, but one that had been dead. She smiled, laughed, and then ran off, each step leaving behind a trail of flowers. She ran the opposite way of the Mandalorian father, and both were divergent from their prior path.

"We shouldn't get distracted," the Nikto muttered. His feet instinctively moved towards the flowers and he clenched his fists. "We can't split up, either. We are tethered and I have no idea how long it'll be."

[Phoebe Wren]

Instinctively she moved towards her father's direction as well, pausing as the Nikto spoke. "But..." Damnit.

"It's my father." And my mother. "I need to know... I need to find out."

[Nekoinu]

"And I loved her. The only times I've seen her since she's died has been her dying, over and over." The Nikto shook his head. "It's only fair if we both make the sacrifice."

[Phoebe Wren]

It didn't feel fair. A lover was not the same as a parent. But... she swallowed those feelings for now, and nodded. If they were somehow tied together in this, it could have strange consequences for them both if she acted on her own.

"Fine... I guess you're right," she said quietly.

[Nekoinu]

The Nikto nodded and crossed his arms as he sauntered towards the unwelcoming peaks. Behind them was laughter, playful, begging for the hunter to join.

"My condolences for your loss, Orion," a woman's voice echoed behind.

[Phoebe Wren]

Phoebe pressed her eyes shut, lowered her head, and picked up the pace. She didn't want to hear it now.

"I'm sorry." The words were for the Hunter, as well as herself, and those she was leaving behind now by continuing forward.

[Nekoinu]

The voices behind them washed away under a dense fog along with the rest of the scenery. Their steps hit rocks, though they were not hard to the touch.

Out from the fog, alongside them, emerged Sarana. "Phoebe? So this is a vision," she concluded. She looked over to the Nikto and tilted her head. "I know you, don't I?"

"Seen me, perhaps," the Nikto corrected.

[Phoebe Wren]

"S... Sarana?" Phoebe gaped in surprise. The Chagrian girl was also a part of this?

"I... think this is a vision, yeah. Didn't expect to see you here though... or maybe this is what you, or rather, what he meant? That we'd meet like this." It was all very confusing.

[Nekoinu]

"Whatever, asshole," Sarana jeered at the Nikto. She then smiled at Phoebe and pointed to the mountain. "You're in travel to Corellia too right now, yeah? That's what we're doing and, well, I figure that's why we're tied up."

"Tied together," the Nikto added. He pressed onward towards the mountain. "This must be what we're headed for. And now," he said, looking at Sarana, "Now we have a bond to her to follow to it."

[Phoebe Wren]

"No time to lose, I guess... in case this vision-thing ends," she gestured for Sarana to join their journey.

"... Isn't it kinda weird though?" Phoebe remarked as she continued towards the mountain. "If Tyvesh have been part of our lives in some way, and now we're all here? It wasn't a coincidence I thought too much about earlier, but now it seems kind of strange."

[Nekoinu]

The masked redhead from earlier appeared again with another message. "There is no coincidence," she whispered, "All of it is planned." She dispersed again, right back into the fog.

"I can't say I've ever had this happen before," Sarana admitted, "All I've ever done is known that I had some reason that I could do things that wasn't natural."

"Visions," the Nikto replied, "I've had these. Nothing like this, though."

[Phoebe Wren]

"All this is new to me. I've... never had visions, or anyting unnatural that I could do." She frowned slightly, feeling that she was maybe not as gifted as the other two.

"Wait, this is all planned? That doesn't make any sense at all."

[Nekoinu]

"You are the youngest," Sarana pointed out with a teasing tone, "Maybe you're just finally blooming into it."

"Don't put too much weight into a dead woman's words," the Nikto remarked.

[Phoebe Wren]

That remark just made her frown more. Mystical puberty wasn't something she had expected in her life.

"So... what will happen once we reach our destination then?" Phoebe focused on the goal at hand.

[Nekoinu]

Sarana looked over to the Nikto and he shrugged. "I'm not sure," he admitted. He looked down at the path and then back up at the mountain. "Although it would seem that we will not reach it now."

"What do you mean?" Sarana asked.

"That mountain is where we'll go when we wake up from this damned vision." The Nikto eyed Sarana up and down. "You had a bunch of fun little nightmares, right?"

"I'd rather not talk about it."

[Phoebe Wren]

Phoebe watched the two of them with her lips pressed together into a thin line, wondering what mountain that could be. Perhaps it was on Corellia. She considered asking how he knew Sarana had nightmares, but she figured Sarana wasn't interested in the topic.

"So... we'll meet there? In the real world, not this... uh... vision-world?"

[Nekoinu]

"Yeah," the Nikto said. He got onto his knees and closed his eyes. His hands folded together and were held in front of his sternum as he breathed.

"If you struggle to find the place, call me," Sarana added.

"How is she supposed to learn if you hold her hand?"

[Phoebe Wren]

A major eye-roll. "Jesus Toboga, I can do it. Sheesh. How hard can it be to find a mountain!" If she had had gum with her in this vision-world, she would've popped it. Alas, this was a bleak world without gum.

"..." she looked at the Nikto, wondering why he was sitting in such a strange posture. "... Guess this is the end of this road then. For now. This vision-road, that is."

[Nekoinu]

"It's in the mountain range, a specific part of it," Sarana noted. She gave an apologetic smile. "I'm just used to being a lot smaller."

"You talk too much," the Nikto said, "Now all we can do is try to attune ourselves to it."

[Phoebe Wren]

"Attune... hmmm..." more mystical stuff. Attuning to something like this was probably way different than tuning anything mechanical.

She figured she might as well try to copy what the Nikto was doing. Monkey-see, monkey-do. So she knelt down, and closed her eyes, with her hands resting on her knees.
