"Can't imagine being a bouncer was fulfilling work, even if you did get to knock a few skulls together of some deserving fellows," Kairi remarked. She folded her hands behind her back and smiled formally. "That's the work of thugs. Warriors deserve much better."

[Axel Ward]

"It wasn't." Axel said flatly. "But it didn't make me... less, either. Killing for money." He shrugged. "It was just something to do."

His frown was thoughtful as he looked at Kairi. "A warrior... you think I'm a warrior?" His deep voice sounded almost curious. "I don't really know what that means."

"You're here, aren't you? All of us are warriors if we're aboard the Aurora," Kairi stated. She then scoffed and continued with, "Don't let my sister persuade you otherwise. She can fight a little but she could do so much more."

[Axel Ward]

"Yeah?" Axel crossed his arms. "What's the deal with you and her, anyway?"

He went on. "Or maybe just with her. She cute?" Axel did his best to keep a straight face through his tease, but his lips did quirk just a little, visible through his beard.

"The deal?" Kairi asked, but the question was dropped when it went to the next part of the topic. She perked a brow and continued with, "She's cute in the 'little sister' sort of way to me, sure. Orella is incredibly naive. I love her, of course, and am here to protect her."
