First, Phoebe pictured the swamps. But it was not the swamps, of course. The mountains were what she sought. Past all the communities, past all the vacation homes, there was one little alcove.

Looking inside, though, was pure and utter darkness. And it enveloped her, robbing her of her connection to all things for what may have seemed like eternity, save for two souls: Sarana and the Nikto.

Through it, she could snap back out of it, back into the waking realm.

The enveloping darkness scared her, and as she stirred awake in the real world, she fumbled for a light next to her bed. As the darkness was dispelled with the soft light of technology, she heaved a sigh of relief.

And realised she was all sticky from sweat, no doubt because of the intense dream... vision.

"Jesus Toboga..."

"Kriff, I wasn't sure if you would wake up," a female voice said. It turned out to be Daerah, one of the former slaves. "Here, I got you some water."

Swallowing, she felt how parched her throat was. "Thanks... sorry, I didn't mean to worry you."

Stretching out her hand to accept the water, Phoebe gulped it down in big mouthfuls.

"Everyone else has been asleep like a baby after all that fighting," Daerah said. She herself looked like she could use a bit of sleep. "Except you. Lots of tossing and turning. Maybe I should grab you some food too."

The thought of food didn't appeal to her right now. She hardly felt like she had gotten any rest through that entire ordeal of the vision.

"Yeah... I'm completely worn out. You look pretty tired too, you know." She offered a weak smile. "I think I need sleep more than food right now. And you should get some rest too."
