The dust ball that is Tatooine is in the farther reaches of the Outer Rim. That doesn't mean all technology is lacking on the planet though, some at least is readily available.

The Rarity Cap of Tatooine is 6. Furthermore prices are adjusted by 1.3 times, or an increase of thirty percent. In addition to this, the large criminal element on Tatooine means that black market goods are somewhat cheaper to obtain. Use of the Black Market Contacts Talent only Increases prices by thirty percent, rather then the normal fifty.
