"Clearly, he doesn't know," she chimed in. "I mean, obviously, look at him. He's an expendable goon. They wouldn't have told him anything."

[Axel Ward]

"Yeah." Axel sighed. "Guess not. Well... how should we deal with this guy?"

Axel gave Kairi a significant look, clearly trying to communicate something. That strange intensity to him was back, in his eyes and in his body.

[Nekoinu]

"What the kriff?! I told you everything! What is there to argue about?" He started to crawl away. A moot point, but the guy had some fight left in him apparently.

[Phoebe Wren]

"It's a good question," she grabbed a hold of the wriggly-prisoner. "What should we do with him?"

And Phoebe was interested to hear Kairi's answer.

[Kairi Laerrin]

"There's no use keeping him captive," she said. Kairi stepped up to be man and turned him onto his stomach. She cut off any of his words by wrapping her arm around his neck. Her eyes went to both of them, searching for any rejection.

[Axel Ward]

Axel shrugged. He'd been going to do it, but, well, if Kairi wanted to take care of him, that was her business.

He folded his arms, waiting.

Being an executioner wasn't Phoebe's style...

... but this guy was decidedly bad. Sure, a goon, but a guy who had been fine with slavery, and using a freed slave as a hostage to get revenge on them. No doubt, they and Damien would've been dead if things had gone differently.

Hardening her face and her feelings, she didn't move to stop Kairi.

[Kairi Laerrin]

With a quick twist, Kairi snapped his neck. She let his corpse fall limp onto the floor afterwards, his head causing a small thump.

"Glad to know we're on the same page for scum," she said. She hefted the corpse onto her back afterwards and marched off. "Check in with the others. Find out more about our target."

Still, even if the man did deserve it, something may have felt... off.
