Picking up the Pieces [Day 7, EN]

[Riza]

Once freed from obligation, Riza made her way down to Engineering to the weapon maintenance deck and began to buffer out the damage to her firearm. She'd told Rose that she was supposed to do it, but Rose was in the med bay... and honestly, she'd been trained better than to leave her blaster in such a sorry state.

[Xavien Laerrin]

She wasn't alone long as Xavien entered the room a short time later, his eyes flicking first to the Chiss then to the weapon she was working on.

"Looks like that's seen better days." He offered as he looked at the spot Riza was buffing.

[Riza]

"Only by its looks, as far as I can tell," Riza said, finishing up the touch she had been working on. Setting it aside and then looking up to find it was Xavien.

"I have not see you around much. Surprising, all things considered, don't you think?"

[Evencious]

"I suppose so, but then I'm the type to keep busy." His lips curled up into a smirk. "Been all over Corellia in the last few days."

"Errands I guess you could say."

[Riza]

"Vague," she said, returning to tinkering with her weapon.

"Haven't seen you since before Corellia much either, despite doing some work on your behalf. What kinda errands you been running lately, seeing anyone I know?"

[Evencious]

"I've chatted with a few of the new recruits." He replied with a smile. "Mostly I've been keeping my ear to the ground though, spending a lot of times in Cantinas and the like."

"Places my sisters wouldn't fit in."

[Riza]

"Learn anything interesting?" she asked, passively as she focused on her task.

[Xavien Laerrin]

"I suppose that depends on what you think is interesting." It meant different things to different people. "I could tell you a lot about which nobles are visiting which prostitutes at which brothel."

"I'm fairly certain you wouldn't find that very interesting though."

[Riza]

"Anything useful then?" she said, rolling her eyes, hands busy working.

[Evencious]

"That is useful information, Riza. At least to the right people. You know a person's preferences and you can bait a trap for them." He smirked, life could be strangely like hunting at times.

"As for things you'd find useful? Maybe. But it depends oh what you're after."

[Riza]

Riza glared up at him, away from her work, rolled her eyes and turned back to it, "Anything that you were able to make use of then? Or are you just telling me about how you've begun hoarding information on..." she shrugged, the tool in her hand rested against the table.

"Though... I am after something," she relented.

[Evencious]

"The dirty secrets of nobles?" Xavien offered to fill in the blank. "A few things, some info on the house a few of you visited the other night for example. Other then that?" He shrugged a few bits and pieces.

He smirked. "After something are you? Maybe I can help, if you tell me a bit about it."

[Riza]

"An officer, or... higher, I don't know. They're a Chiss, serve in the Ascendancy. Many of my kind don't deal much with outsiders but this one has proven differently. They've maybe made friends, and enemies, outside of the Ascendancy because of something they seek."

"Could be you might be able to find a trace of them?"

[Evencious]

"Perhaps." He offered after a moment of thought. "I'd need a name though, and any other information you could give me would help as well."

It was a large galaxy after all.

[Riza]

"I don't have a name..." she said, stopping her work for a moment and thinking on it. "However, I do remember his face. If I could draw his face for you, would that be enough?"

[Evencious]

"It would help." He confirmed with a nod. "Any other information you have would be helpful as well though. Places he has been, when he was there. Things like that."

[Riza]

"Tatooine," she said brusquely. "When we were there in fact, he was the driving force behind that mob that went searching through Mos Eisley's streets. Could be there is something useful the hunter we took on knows, whatever his true name was, he was originally hired by this man. Might be you'll better know how to get any useful information from him."

"He's also a ranking member of the Ascendancy," she said.

[Evencious]

"That's a start at least. Get me that drawing and I'll get on it." He replied with a smile. "Of course I can't promise that the results will be quick."

[Riza]

"I'll get it to you, tomorrow or the next, and," she paused. Pulling up her communicator she searched for the frequency she'd received some time back. Only now noticing Axel's message about them celebrating in the med-bay. Rolling her eyes she kept looking through and got the frequency.

"Here," she pulled over a scrap of some paper, "this is the frequency I was given. It was supposedly used to contact the man, but it is likely no longer in use. Could be something there as well."
