Kairi, being the angry person that she is, doesn't take the news of her pass-over for Xavien well.

But before we go on, Phoebe and Coryn individually have a chance to convince her to chilling out and taking it a little more gracefully. This will have to be Charm at Hard Difficulty with One Die Upgraded. Combined, you'll need ten successes for a complete chill out and five for her to be grumpy but remain without a fuss.

Tried as she might, Phoebe's words fell on deaf ears as she tried to calm down Kairi.

Not only was Kairi's anger palpable to her sensitive senses, which only fuelled her own anger at why Kairi was acting out like this against a family member so she wasn't calming the scene, but... Phoebe was also supportive of Xavien's role as heir to the clan.

So understandably, the clash of two women with short tempers wasn't making the situation much better.

There are three paths...

Kairi challenging Xavien will either result in him losing or cheating (and getting caught.) Either will keep him in charge but lose some credibility. Kairi will remain in the clan, continuing to be a vocal opposition.

Kairi marrying out will have her offer no more direct help. Even more, she will try to have her new clan outdo her old family.

Kairi could also take on the life of a mercenary, aligning herself to the New Republic and taking down Imperial Remnants. In this, she will oppose Xavien the least but contact with her will be much less possible.
