The datapas was infront of her with the details, along with one of the screens of the medbay that had her species-database loaded in, as well as her headset on with the data-display up over her eyes.
"Right, let's get down to business," she said and took a hearty sip of her energy drink.

Energy drinks they did wonders right? Or maybe they just gave her the jitters, either way she had work to do.
First of was finding information on the disease in question. Medicine or Xenobiology at average please.

It seemed it was some sort of genetic disease affecting his spine. One of his ancestors wasn't human and the alien DNA had reared its head and was causing problems.
There was a treatment that would help that was fairly easy to replicate but it was really only a stop gap. A cure was also possible, but few were able to create the serum from the patients DNA. It was also quite pricey
Still it was awfully hard to concentrate on all this when the energy drink made her want to bounce off the walls. ((Three threat to upgrade next roll))
-----------------------------
The Solution
Make a treatment: Medicine at Average with one setback to create a supply of the cure. As well as a formula Phelts can duplicate.
Make a cure: Medicine at Formidable to synthesize a cure from the boys DNA. A successful Xenobiology roll at Hard can add two boosts to this roll, as you identify the Alien DNA that's a source of the problem.
This option is also rather pricey and will cost the crew 1000 credits.

Phoebe bounced on her heels as she poured over the problem before her. The first solution she could see didn't really seem like a permanent solution to her. And it also relied on his family to use the medicine repeatedly in the future... that could have side-effects she didn't know of.
No, she needed to dig deeper. Smashing down another can, she put that big brain of hers to use along with all the fancy-shmancy stuff she had at hand to help her.
Twi'lek? Nooo, there's no hairloss going on. Maybe Zeltron? Hmmm... no... Finally after going through all the possibilities of compatabilities with human-crossbreeding, she had her answer locked in on Zabrak, as the spine seemed to be suffering from similar traits as Zabrak Scalp Necrosis... though whereas on a Zabrak it wasn't life-threatening, and just caused their horns to fall out, but in this kid it was treating his spine as his horns and well... losing your spine was way more life-threatening.
She had an idea for the solution, but it would have to cultivate for a few hours until it was ready. Whereas Axel and Coryn could flip a pancake or a waffle, Phoebe on the other hand was cooking up a cure-for-what-ails-ya in her own way in the sickbay.
It was a masterpiece. Just needed more sugar.

High on the belief that she got this in the bag (and caffinated sugar), Phoebe called up Coryn.
"Coryyyyn!" she squealed excitedly through the comm.

"Omigosh ----" she took a deep breath, "Itotallysolvedthemedicalproblem! Likenotjustacurebutacure-cure, youknow?!"
There had probably been way too much energy-drinks involved in this judging by her pacing and pitch.

He winced and took the piece out of his ear. "I think she just gave me tinnitus." Sticking a finger in his ear he looked pained and tried to decipher what she'd said.
"Oh shit. Nice! You found a cure? Jesus Toboga I knew you could do it!" It had at least brought him out of his funk.

"Yeah!"
Someone confiscate all the energy drinks in the fridge. To protect the ears.

"Uuuhh... sure!"
Pause. A deep breath.
"Sooo... I'll, like, talk you through how a computer works? I mean, I dunno where you guys are, but I'm, like, on the ship."

"Ok!"
Another long drawn out pause.
"So is this your girlfriend's ship?!"

Coryn Kusat wrote:"No. Hold on Bunny." He pulled out his data pad and started up a live feed. "Can you see this?"
It would make it a lot easier if she could. He paused and looked at Axel. "Hey bro, if you're really a shit hot slicer now's the time to tell me, huh?"

Success, a cure is made at half the cost! 500 credits, plus additional benefits.
The project is a fantastic success, the cure for the disease being more then Phoebe or Mister Phelts could of asked for. The doctor is happy enough to drop his original asking price on the schematics and Alister gives his new found windfall to those that helped him.
This results in 2000 credits to be split among the crew, as well as the previous rewards offered (Two free mods per character). Phoebe also receives some experimental schematics from Dr Phelts which when given to Alister helps in the creation of the teams armor.

Having dropped the call earlier to let Phoebe carry on with her work Coryn reconnected a bit later.
"Hey Phoebe, you sober yet? Heh. Anyway, me and Axel found out a few things that everyone's gonna want to hear. Thanks for trying with the computer."

Phoebe had been watching her project cooking until Coryn called her up again, with the buzz of the caffeine and sugar slowly abating.
"Huh? What you mean? I don't start my mornings drinking," she sounded slightly puzzled. "Anyway, no problem, really. Is Axel bringing the computer back?"

Have you told Phelts the good news yet?"
