Have a Little Chat [Day 8, EE]

[Riza]

All the rest of the crew was out on a job, a mission, something or another that if she were being honest with herself was likely to go a direction she felt she needn't be there to lend a hand. Thus, she took this opportunity of being alone upon herself. Moving through the ship with a cavalier swagger she made her way to the sick bay. Sure to drag no one else along with her, at least knowingly, to her little visit personally planned visit with Vanito Cadera.

Slipping into the room Riza slid the door closed and blocked it up, intending on not being disturbed. Without even looking at Cadera until she had secured a chair, dragged it across the room with two legs scratching against the floor and spun it so she could sit in it reversed style at the side of his bed. Leaning forward she just looked at him, waiting a moment, and if he were conscious she'd wait at least a few to see how long until her spoke first.

[Vanito Cadera]

"If you're planning on strangling me, then get on with it," Vanito murmured. He kept his eyes closed as he continued to speak. "Or speak your piece."

[Riza]

"I wouldn't be sitting here if I wanted you dead," she said with the coldness of honest truth. Looking him over, it was almost enough to make her smile, but she hadn't done that in years. Not so truthfully.

"I would prefer to just use a gun, get it over with anyway. Strangling wouldn't be my style, that's yours..." she paused herself, "but I am getting away from my point. I want to know some things, about you, specifically. I don't care much about your past, but your future, that is what interests me. What you envision for yourself, that interests me greatly, because.. I get the feeling that the way this crew runs there might be some shift for that in the air. What does Vanito Cadera hope for from his future, what options does he see before him?"

[Vanito Cadera]

"You never know," Vanito said, "Some killers like to savor every moment."

He shuffled in his reclined position and looked up to the ceiling. "My future? I can't say I planned on much, but hope and plans are not one and the same." His eyes shut again and he smiled faintly. "The only thing that really matters to me now is seeing my daughter again."

[Riza]

"Make a plan then, tell me about it," she said, leaning in against her chair. "But before you start, let me mention, I don't really care if you want to go run away to your daughter and give her a thousand hugs. I want to know what you intend to do. What does Vanito Cadera surviving for another three, if I'm being giving, months looks like? What does he do, where does he go?"

[Vanito Cadera]

"If I knew I was going to be interrogated on my life goals, I'd have preferred to have died. Was ready to. Been ready for awhile now." Vanito smirked. "Wouldn't be fair to my daughter though.

"Anyways, it's hard to make a plan when I don't know my options. I don't intend on breaking out of here and I don't know what all of you will do with me. Maybe I'll be shipped off to Mandalore."

[Riza]

Riza rolled her eyes, "If you had a choice. You walked out of here free. What would you do, unburdened by your current situation?"

[Vanito Cadera]

"Well, I'd have to reacquire my resources. Armor, weaponry, what wasn't taken away. Then, I'd have to break my daughter out of there covertly." A pause. "And if I couldn't, then I suppose I'd help Clan Saxon again. Otherwise, they'd execute her."

[Riza]

"I think I've heard all I need to," she said, after waiting a long while in thought. Pushing herself up from her chair she returned it to whence she found it and, rather unceremoniously, exited the room.
