Ain't no Afterparty Like an Axel and Crank Afterparty (D3LN)

[Axel Ward]

(expecting but open!)

With a grunt, Axel hauled the big chair into place. He'd gotten a few of them, all arranged facing the big viewscreen. He didn't know if they'd all end up getting used, but it was best to be prepared.

"Yo." He called to his roommate, nodding his head. "How's the sound coming?"

[Phoebe Wren]

"Guuuys." Phoebe was drunk, judging by the tone of her voice, even if it was still trying to have some sort of tough edge to it to not give away that she was in fact, drunk.

Cradled in her arms were a handful (or armful in this case) of bottles of Corellian whiskey. "I brought the good shtuff."

[Coryn Kusat]

There was blaring pulse of sound from the speakers. It was surround sound, so you could feel it in your bones. A thumbs up sign presented itself from behind the holoscreen.

"That's fixed it. There was some sort of...er...ah...I had this...thing! A thing for to stop the noise makings." His speech slurred off into Mando'a.

"It's like being there. Am I right? Am I right bro? Bro? Axel? Oh right". "We're good."

He stood and swayed a little. "Oh hey Phoebe! Axel. Axel! Its Phoebe. You brought snacks, right?"

[Rose Sorenn]

Rose strode in confidently, it helped that her knee-high boots had broad wedge heels, though she walked in a way that said stilettos wouldn’t have been a problem. “If anyone’s decided not to come, too bad, you can hear those speakers clear across the ship.”

[Axel Ward]

"You're damn right I did." Axel rumbled. He pointed at the nearby counter, which had a few large bags on it, and a few tubs of... something. "Ever tried Gammorean snacks? They're pretty good. Fill your soul!" Axel's Mando'a was still developing.

He gave a nod of greeting to Phoebe. "Alright Wren, bringing the good stuff." He lazily kicked one of the chairs. "Sit wherever you like."

Another chair got a casual kick as Rose joined them. Axel wasn't really dictating where they sat, but it seemed almost like a ritual of greeting for him. "Guess they'll all know to come, huh?"

[Coryn Kusat]

"Yo Rose!" He waved and walked over to the snack bowl. "Sure, why not buddy." It might have helped that he couldn't taste anything much by this point.

"Not bad." Looking around he raised a questioning eyebrow. "And you say it's made out of 100% Gammorean? Heh. Say...what did you do with the controller?"

[Axel Ward]

Axel snorted. "Nah, not a hundred-percent. Probably more like forty. There's a lot of filler."

He looked a bit blearly at the screen, then back at Coryn. Then back at the screen. Then at the seats he'd just arranged. "Probably somewhere in one of those cushions or something." He shot a scowl back at Coryn. "Just hit the buttons!

[Rose Sorenn]

Rose checked her seat for the missing remote before throwing herself down, managing to drape herself somewhat elegantly across the offered chair. "All right, throw some of those snacks this way, and does someone have a nerf blaster? I can change the channel from here."

[Phoebe Wren]

"Ugh," Phoebe's nose wrinkled at the 'Gamorrean' snack. The thought of eating a Gamorrean was kind of throwing off her stomach for a moment, but she held her own and started opening up one of the bottles of whiskey and pouring herself a glass.

"Nerf blaster?" she asked, one eyebrow raised. That was not a term she was familiar with.

"It's not really made out of... Oh, wait. More for us!" He chuckled and grabbed a handful.

"Nerf blasters! Yass! Let's requisition some, where's Alister?" Rising to his feet he walked over to the console and started it up. The sound was comfortingly intense.

[Rose Sorenn]

“You know, with the foam, pew-pew?” Rose made finger guns and mimed shooting, “kids toy.”

[Axel Ward]

Axel gave a loud cheer as the console fired up.

"It's gonna be a good game, I'll bet." He said in his rough voice. "Gundarks versus Dianogas. Great teams. Good, but rough."

[Rose Sorenn]

“I like it rough,” Rose quipped, slapping the side of her chair.

[Phoebe Wren]

"Ooh... a toy. I get it," she chuckled with some mirth. She'd seen them on Nar Shaddaa, but growing up she didn't have toy guns, or toy weapons. All the weapons in her home had been fully functional, and her parents had had the idea of not making her think that any weapon could be a toy.

For a moment she felt a bit at loss about what people were talking about, before connecting the dots. "Oh, Huttball, right? Didn't you guys talk about playing some Huttball here with us all?"

[Axel Ward]

"Damn right we did." Axel nodded.

He looked back and forth between them. "You ladies in? Could use both of you. Rose..." He made twin fingerguns at her. "And Phoebe, you take 'em down on the field, and fix us up off it."

[Phoebe Wren]

"Suuuure." Phoebe rolled her eyes, chuckling warmly. "Guess I'm in. Can't have you lot get hurt without me around to fix you up."

[Rose Sorenn]

Rose was pretty sure there were no blasters in Huttball, but she was still game, "count me in, I'm down, or up, or whatever direction works best."
