[Pre-game, LM] Sleepover (-Fun)

[Riza]

Returning with a towel slung over her shoulder from the fitness room Riza entered the room that was designated for her and quickly saw to the items that were stored within, clothing. Sifting through her personal closet she retrieved quickly a body glove, one worn under a suit of armor, and then some regular clothing. Setting each item out neatly on top of one another upon her bed as she prepared it for travel.

[Phoebe Wren]

While the Chiss was meticulously going through each item, a large duffel-bag was moved into the room. Followed by a short young woman carrying some more luggage.

With an unceremonious grunt, she hoisted the duffel bag onto the unoccupied bed. "Oof!"

"Su cuy'gar," she said as she now was unburden and turned to face the blue huntress. "Guess we're supposed to be roomies, huh?"

[Riza]

Setting down the last piece of clothing onto her little pile she lifted it up to her waist and turned around to face the newcomer.

"Assuming that you have not accidentally entered the wrong room, then yes, it would appear that we are to be sharing this one," she said, with just a tinge of morning grumpiness.

[Phoebe Wren]

"I don't make mistakes like that," she put down the other bag and backpack as well, before getting to freeing her feet from her boots.

"So..." she gave a long, drawn-out sigh as the feet were de-shoed. "Name's Phoebe Wren. You?"

[Riza]

"You may call me Riza," she said, glancing toward the doorway and considering just departing to continue as she was. Ultimately deciding against such a... harsh action, yes that would appear harsh to most she figured.

"You caught me as I was about to head to the refresher," she lead.

[Phoebe Wren]

"Riza," she nodded thoughtfully, already figuring it was some short-version of the true name. Chiss names were needlessly long and complicated.

"Go ahead. Imma start unpacking some of this stuff, get it all sorted out. Not planning on bunking with a bunch of mess around me, packed or unpacked."

[Riza]

Feeling as though she had some minor success, at least, Riza quickly departed to the refresher with her assortment of wear.

When she would return, she would return with her original exercising uniform tucked up neatly just as her original outfit had been. Seeing it properly aside for the laundry.

Currently, now, she was redressed in a different attire. A tank top and jacket combo with cargo pants that revealed her arms and midriff just as the workout attire had. Black boots completed the look.

[Phoebe Wren]

As Riza returned, clothes were being stored away in Phoebe's part of the room. Seemingly a mix-mash of casual clothing, mostly in the form of training clothes or similar levels of comfort. Next to the bed things had been sorted into different piles; a suit of laminate armor in the Mandalorian-style packed up, a solid supply of medical equipment, and a diverse selection of outdoors gear. On the bed she had laid down her weapons; a large vibrosword, and a couple of guns.

"Do you mind if I put on some music?" Phoebe asked as Riza returned. It had been... way too long since she had to be considerate herself of others she was living with. And it would be a bad start for things to piss off her roommate.

[Riza]

"You may," she said after considering the thought before speaking. "Should I not like it, my trip down to the range will only be a bit swifter."

She then indicated the arms and armor, "Speaking of, there is a locker for your armaments there. You will not have the space for it and your clothing."

[Phoebe Wren]

"I know," she said, nodding once to confirm her own words. "Had everything with me in one go. Seemed easier to take those down later... even if it will be awkward to not have them nearby." Phoebe crossed her arms thoughtfully.

Yes. This would all take some adjusting to get used to. Other people, sharing space, keeping arms and armor in a separate room away.

"How's your impression of the ship so far?" she asked to keep the conversation casual rather than too prying about who she was, where she came from, and how she ended up here, meanwhile picking up her datapad to tap through her music.

[Riza]

"I have had to travel in worse conditions, far worse," she said, having set her things aside she casually placed herself against the closet that contained her things.

"Having a fitness room, an armory, and a separate bed all to myself is nearly able to be considered luxury next to what I was doing previously. Though, I had far more freedom of destination but that is hardly a concern any longer," she said.

"Some of the company could stand to be less irritable in the morning," she said, either not having self awareness in this matter or simply not caring, it didn't really matter.

[Phoebe Wren]

"Oh yeah? You and me both," she chuckled briefly. There had been plenty of worse rides and places to crash than this. "This is probably the most luxury I've had in... well, a good while."

Phoebe gave Riza a look as she raised an eyebrow. "Irritable?" she inquired, as a subtle way to see if it was herself or someone else being the cause of irritation.

[Riza]

"Just a man," she dismissed the thought as quickly as it came.

Riza cast a measuring glance over Phoebe, thought of her armor and the rest, "Strikes me that you're not like the rest of us."

[Phoebe Wren]

She smirked knowingly at that. "Men usually are irritating."

It was hard to track the gaze of a Chiss correctly, but she had a feeling Riza was looking for something. "Maybe so. But the same could be said for yourself, no? Or would you say the others are the same as you?"

[Riza]

"Yes, the others are much more like me than they are you. Most of us are not Mandalorian. Not quite yet. Many, I would guess, have accepted this invitation for the promise it offers of escaping a past life. Perhaps, of course, some come because of simple respect and desire to be one of you," she said, her tone ever even and mellow.

"That, in it's way, points exactly to the difference. One of you," she repeated, "as in that you are already Mandalorian. You do not come from some other place and seek to become what you are not already, because you are. You are here out of a sense of, duty, I would guess, or perhaps there is more to this game for you than I know."

"Yet, what I know for certain, is that you are not like me, or the rest of us. You, are different."

[Phoebe Wren]

Her expression changed to something more unreadable, but it seemed she was not agreeing with Riza's assessement.

"My reasons for being here are... complicated," Phoebe said after a long time of silence where she had let the low-volume of the music fill the void of words. "Not something that I need to, or feel like, getting into now."

"Anyway, yeah, you're right that I was born Mandalorian. But I still need to prove myself like the rest of you. The Laerrin's won't just give me a free pass, just so you know."

[Riza]

"I did not imply that you would be granted anything freely," she reassured, casually enough. "Just that you are already Mandalorian, as I have surmised. Your reasons are unlike ours for being here, at least most of ours. Perhaps there is some who have desired the Mandalorian life and have then come here. Your life has been colored differently, structured differently. You were born to be here. We, however, were not. You are different than most of us. It is, a simple observation at most."

"For how it stands, you can keep your reasons. I intend to keep mine."

[Phoebe Wren]

"That is fine," she assured the Chiss in return. It wasn't in her nature to pry into people's personal motivations, unless they wished to share. It seemed they had some sort of understanding at least.

With that out of the way, the short woman found a vacant spot on the corner of the bed to sit down. "Mind asking what you were doing before coming here? Part of the Rebel Alliance too, or...?"

[Riza]

"I was a hunter," she answered.

"People needed creatures captured, killed, relocated, I found those jobs and I saw them done. Brought me across the galaxy, had to in order to keep up with the work. Not a lot of pay left after you've killed the beast, after all. Big one's, small one's, predators that endangered settlements. It all brought in the credit line I needed to stay afloat."
